The event is presented by The Gamma Zeta Boulé Foundation in Partnership with the Pasadena Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Science, technology, engineering, arts and math are intrinsic to every part of peoples’ lives and career opportunities in these areas are growing by about 14 percent a year, according to sources. It is considered important to have acquired skills that businesses of the future need. Read About Clark D. Rucker Here The STEAM professions are generally high paying and it’s expected that a high number of jobs in these areas continue to go unfilled because there is a gap between workforce skill sets and job requirements. If we want to close this gap, there is a need to encourage the future workforce to pursue careers of the future in STEAM. At the Career STEAMposium students in Middle School, High School and Community College can meet professionals in all aspects of STEAM careers. During the day, students will attend workshops, learn from and ask questions of STEAM professionals and participate in virtual field trips that include Robotics, Cal Poly Pomona’s Formula SAE car, Cal Poly Pomona’s Liquid Rocket Lab, NASA/ JPL’s Mars Perseverance Sample Return Project, What goes into the making of a Fender Guitar and How Games Are Created.
